Celebrating One Year of One Thousand Acts of Decency!

Hi, everyone! On January 16th, one year ago, I released the first case of One Thousand Acts of Decency. 366 days and innumerable typos later, here I am, with two additional cases under my belt and a fourth case on the way. It's especially surprising to me that my art has changed so much. A lot of the time, I feel like I'm stagnating, or worse- declining. I don't mean to mangle my own horn, but jeez, looking back on my oldest screenshots is like night and day...

Besides just tormenting you with that year-old screenshot, I have some things for everyone to celebrate this huge milestone!

The Soundtrack of One Thousand Acts of Decency

A lot of you likely already know this, but it bears repeating that the full soundtrack for One Thousand acts of Decency is available on YouTube. I'm very proud of how it turned out so far, and seeing which songs get the most attention is very interesting to me (for instance, I really didn't expect Hubert's theme to see as much traffic relative to the other songs as it did.) Also, if you're not already subscribed, subscribing to OTAOD on YouTube is a great way to be informed of trailers and other releases as soon as they drop. I hope you like what you hear!

OTAOD Papercrafts

I'm not sure if this will appeal to anybody in 2025, but I made papercrafts for some of the most-liked OTAOD characters! Chive, Shallot, RJ, Oscar, Dimitri, Hubert, and Bianco are all available to print out, cut up, and assemble into simplified 3D dolls of the cast!

For the especially creative among us, I've also included a template with a blank version of the design I made, absolutely free to use and edit for whatever purposes you'd like.

The papercrafts and template are below:

214 Character Sprites

By popular demand, I'm releasing all 214 (when did I make that many??) character sprites used in OTAOD! These characters are separated by case and with any spoiler-related sprites being confined to their own folders. I hope you enjoy using them, even if it's just to copy/paste them into a Word document and delete it. Many of these sprites aren't fully-visible in gameplay (mostly below the waist, as the characters are seldom seen that low,) so I hope that'll be interesting!

Anyways, the link is just below- happy sprite-looking-at-ing!

Closing Thoughts

I'm very happy with what's come of One Thousand Acts of Decency in its life up until this point. I hope I can continue to provide an entertaining and thought-provoking game for all of you. Stay tuned for another DevLog later this month, where I'll be showing a lot of progress on the fourth case, as well as the strange story behind its development.

And of course, I would be remiss to go without thanking everyone who's helped me- whether by helping with writing, being a friend, supporting me online, being a fan, or all four. I've met some wonderful, talented people through this game and it's absolutely incredible to get to talk with them and see their work. I especially want to shout out Trainwreck, which is another mystery VN (that I unfortunately am not fully caught up with...) I don't want to give too much away but if you like OTAOD or any of its inspirations, Trainwreck will be right up your alley! The artstyle is extremely expressive and the characters all have such a distinct voice, it's an absolute pleasure to read!

Anyways, that's all for now! I hope everyone's having a great 2025 so far!

Oh wow! As a latecomer, your improvement and sheer output is super impressive actually. This is a herculean project and I really enjoyed case 1 (still on case 2). I'm also super curious on the technical side, how the process was to set it all up, maybe i;ll go snooping past dev logs. anyway congrats!
